This site was originally made for "Eternal Sauce Custom System", but later I turned it into a download site and paved the way for "Easy Cards" design.

In early November 2025, I decided to help UP @一只低调的道路 create a website for "Eternal Sauce Custom System". With the help of AI, the "Easy Cards" design quickly took shape. On December 6, I decided to transform the site into a comprehensive download platform and started refactoring the code. On December 11, I completed the category design and added official image downloads. On December 13, I posted a promotion on Bilibili but got no attention. Development continued... On December 14, I built a GitHub-based feedback/comment system with Cursor, which greatly helped the site. In February 2026, I decided to stop maintaining the site, but later fixed several issues.

Issues encountered during development

What if some visual enhancements fail? ▼

Answer: Open the settings a few times; it will become normal. If the Start menu doesn't show, wait a while.

Why can't some sample videos play? ▼

Answer: Here are solutions for different systems. A. Yongyuan Custom Win10: The system lacks HEVC Video Extension and AV1 Video Extension. The latter can be directly installed by searching in the Microsoft Store. However, the former is paid in the app store. We can install a free "HEVC Video Extension from Video Manufacturer" (available for download on promotion platforms) to solve this problem. You can also directly install the Potplayer or VLC player to solve this problem. B. Yongyuan Custom Win11 Preview/Official Version: The system may lack the HEVC Video Extension (test users reported this issue, but it did not occur on my system). The solution is to install the missing HEVC Video Extension and then use the old version of Windows Media Player to play, or install Potplayer, VLC player, etc. C. Yongyuan Custom Win11 Anniversary Edition: This is related to virtual machine 3D acceleration. We provide three solutions: 1. Disable virtual machine 3D acceleration (the cost is losing Win11 window rounded corners and visual effects such as lock screen and taskbar blur) 2. Install Potplayer or VLC player 3. (Not recommended) Downgrade virtual machine compatibility to workstation 16.2.x This issue is actually somewhat mysterious. It occurred on my system, but test users reported that it did not occur on theirs.

Why does Yongyuan Jiang custom Win11 show the default wallpaper the first time you log in? ▼

Answer: Factors such as resolution may temporarily cause the default lock screen cache to be used. After installing the display driver, restart and the lock screen wallpaper will display normally forever.

Why can Forever Custom Win10 create accounts by itself, while Forever Custom Win11 has the administrator account enabled? ▼

Answer: Windows 10 does not force users to log in to a Microsoft account and is relatively lenient with local accounts. In Windows 11, Microsoft forcibly requires users to log in to a Microsoft account online and is continuously removing methods to register local accounts (such as removing the bypassNRO script). Enabling the administrator account can bypass the forced online Microsoft account login and other messy steps. Additionally, enabling the administrator account can also preserve the customization of the Start menu, which does not disappear after a restart.

Why haven't the documents from the old website been synchronized? ▼

Answer: The site administrator may not have performed maintenance. Please go to Bilibili to remind the administrator to update and maintain the site.

Origin of the website

This branch site began development alongside the Eternal Sauce custom system series and was completed in mid-November.

Team Growth

Since its inception, the Eternal Sauce custom system series has grown from two participants to the current six. The systems now cover Windows 10, Windows 11, Server 2022, and Server 2025. The project will continue to develop in the future…

Development Journey

On August 5, the 2.0 version of Eternal Sauce Custom Windows 10 was released, which strengthened my determination to continue this large-scale fan project. On August 15, the final version of Eternal Sauce Custom Windows 10 was released. I originally thought this would conclude the series. Later, when a user asked why I didn't make a Windows 11 or Windows 10 LTSC 2021 version, I got the idea to create a custom Windows 11. At that time, I had just upgraded my physical machine from Windows 10 to Windows 11 and had done some research on Windows 11, so I started working on it.

Development of the Eternal Sauce custom system series began in late June 2025, and on July 19, the first version of Eternal Sauce Custom Windows 10 was released – this was the starting point of everything.

August 5, 2025

Eternal Sauce Custom Windows 10 2.0 Released

On August 5, the 2.0 version of Eternal Sauce Custom Windows 10 was released, which strengthened my determination to continue this large-scale fan project. On August 15, the final version of Eternal Sauce Custom Windows 10 was released. I originally thought this would conclude the series. Later, when a user asked why I didn't make a Windows 11 or Windows 10 LTSC 2021 version, I got the idea to create a custom Windows 11. In the last week of August, I started working on custom Windows 11. Many mysterious issues appeared (e.g., updating via the new installer failed, installation in PE might or might not trigger OOBE depending on the method, inexplicable unattended issues, etc.).

September 3, 2025

Server Version Development

Started developing Eternal Sauce Custom Server 2022 (2022/2025), marking a new chapter for the project.

September 17, 2025

Windows 11 Official Version Testing Completed

On September 17, the official version of Eternal Sauce Custom Windows 11 completed its first installation test, and I then sent it to blil114514 and SYSTEM-SS8-0016 for the next round of beta testing.

September 27, 2025

Eternal Sauce Custom Windows 11 Official Release

On September 26, I reached 1,000 followers, which gave me (the system author) the right to co-post. The promotional video for Eternal Sauce Custom Windows 11 thus became my first co-post. On September 27, the official version of Eternal Sauce Custom Windows 11 was released.

Website Code Construction Begins

In early November, I discovered the developers of the Eternal Sauce custom system and built a website for them (the predecessor of this site).
